When the beloved Pickering Flea Market closed its doors, there was a major gap in Durham Region — and Active Marketplace Flea Market stepped in to fill it. With a new location and many of the community’s favorite long-time vendors onboard, they were ready to revive the weekend tradition… they just needed the crowds to show up.
That’s where we came in.
Our team took over social media management and started turning heads — literally. Through trending Instagram Reels, viral TikTok videos, and strategic content promoting upcoming events, vendor features, and sneak peeks inside the market, we brought Active Marketplace to life online.
As the content gained momentum, so did the market — foot traffic increased, vendor inquiries surged, and community buzz returned. From food stalls to vintage finds, people started planning their weekends around the flea again.
Today, Active Marketplace is more than a flea market — it’s a buzzing hub for local culture, weekend adventures, and small business success — all powered by creative storytelling and a whole lot of hustle.
